Advanced Programs are intensive courses designed to help students acquire highly specialized skills they can apply immediately in real professional settings. Aimed at those looking to refine their technique, update their knowledge or dive deeper into specific areas of cooking, pastry or culinary management, these programs combine hands-on learning, applied methodology and a close connection to industry reality.
Training takes place in small groups, allowing for personalized attention from instructors and a richer learning experience. It also includes hands-on workshops, activities focused on developing specific skills, and all the materials and ingredients needed.

The campus features facilities dedicated to R&D&I and kitchens built to replicate real professional scenarios.
Its experiential classrooms let students work through processes and cases just as they occur in a real service, backed by several professional kitchens, a restaurant, a wine cellar and a product development lab. The different professional workshop rooms serve as spaces for development and experimentation in pastry and bakery work.
Every space is designed so training takes place under conditions equivalent to the professional environment, not a scaled-down version of it, covering everything from precise technique to running a full service.

While advanced programs are designed as intensive courses without a built-in internship period, they can be extended with an optional internship. After finishing classes, you have the option to complete two months of internship. This internship is optional and involves an additional management fee. Contact our admissions department for more details. This is where the best part of your training begins: you can choose your internship from among the hundreds of partnership agreements Gasma holds with restaurants, workshops and gastronomic businesses across Spain and internationally.
You can complete your internship in cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, Milan, London, and in countries such as Austria, Denmark, the USA, Canada, and more. Many students find work as a direct result of their internship. It's a unique opportunity to build your own network in the world of sweets.
Our international student body keeps growing, with students from more than 85 nationalities. European students don't need a visa to study in Spain. Non-European students, however, must obtain the corresponding visa authorizing their stay in the country.
Students from certain countries are exempt from obtaining a visa as long as their stay in Spain doesn't exceed three months. The visa must be requested and issued at Spanish Consular Offices abroad. Once in Spain, Gasma offers non-EU students the optional International Fee service: with it, they can apply for the foreign student card through the Immigration Office or the corresponding police station within one month of their arrival.
To make your stay during your studies easier and more comfortable, Gasma maintains partnerships with various organizations so students have access to nearby housing options. Ahead of your arrival, you can choose and book your accommodation in an apartment, student residence, etc. Contact our admissions department with any questions on this topic.
