Exercising your rights
You may request access to, rectification of, or erasure (“right to be forgotten”) of your data, as well as its portability, restriction, or objection to its processing, the right not to be subject to automated decisions, and the right to obtain clear and transparent information about the processing of your data, as detailed in the additional information section.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
For what purpose do we process your personal data?
At GP we process the information you provide us in order to manage the contractual relationship between us, manage the sending of the information you request, and contact you through electronic means (email and instant messaging such as WhatsApp) and by phone, provide interested parties with offers of our services and/or products that may interest them, and/or manage your visit, scholarship, or admission request as a student or teacher.
Likewise, through the website’s registration forms, and with your consent when you submit them, data is collected and stored in a file for the sole purpose of sending informative electronic communications, such as newsletters, new posts where applicable, and other communications that GP considers of interest to users of its website, always related to our sector of high-level gastronomy education.
What is the legal basis GP relies on to process your data?
The processing of your personal data, in accordance with applicable regulations, is based on your consent, given at the time you voluntarily provide us with your personal data through the mechanisms enabled for that purpose on the WEBSITE, including consent for contact through instant messaging channels such as WhatsApp.
If you provide your data through an email message, it will become part of a file whose purpose will be to manage the request or comment you make to us, with the rest of the points indicated in the previous paragraph also applying.
In every communication we send you, GP will remind you how to revoke your consent, with effect from the moment you exercise that right.
How long will we keep your personal data?
Your data will be kept for the minimum time necessary to properly provide the requested service, as well as to address any liabilities that may arise from it and any other legal requirement.
If services with GP are not renewed, we will continue to keep your information in order to send newsletters and other information we believe may be of interest to you, related to our sector. Again, we remind you that you may always exercise the rights granted to you under current regulations by contacting us through whichever channel is most convenient for you, which we will always offer in every communication.
Who will we share your data with?
GP may transfer or communicate personal data in order to meet its obligations to Public Administrations in cases where this is required in accordance with current legislation, and, where applicable, also to other Judicial Bodies or State Security Forces.
What rights do you have as the data subject?
As the data subject, you have the following rights:
The right to request access to personal data relating to you
The right to rectification or erasure
The right to object
The right to request the restriction of its processing
The right to the portability of the data you have provided us
You may exercise any of the above rights by sending a written communication to GP’s address or to the email address identified above, including in both cases a photocopy of your national ID or other equivalent identification document.
You can access templates, forms, and further information available for exercising your rights on the website of the national supervisory authority, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos): www.agpd.es.
You also have the right to withdraw your consent for any specific purpose granted at the time, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent given prior to its withdrawal.
