FUNDAE (Fundación Estatal para la Formación en el Empleo, Spain's State Foundation for Employment Training) is the state body that manages the funds earmarked for workers' continuing education in Spain.
Every company with salaried employees has an annual training credit calculated based on its workforce. That credit can be used for programs like GASMA's and deducted directly from Social Security contributions once the training is complete.
FUNDAE doesn't run training courses itself. You choose the program, GASMA delivers it, and we handle the subsidy so the process is invisible to you.
Process
Select the program that best fits your team's needs from our subsidized offerings.
Our admissions team will advise you on your company's available credit and the most suitable program.
Your team trains on GASMA's campus. We handle the entire process with FUNDAE.
Once the training is complete, you deduct the corresponding amount from your Social Security contributions.
If you have questions about the subsidy process or want to know if your company is eligible, contact our admissions team.
FUNDAE is Spain's State Foundation for Employment Training. It doesn't organize or deliver courses itself: it manages the public funds the State sets aside for workers' continuing education in Spain. You contract the training with GASMA, and FUNDAE covers part of the cost through a deduction in Social Security contributions.
The standard subsidy is €13 per teaching hour, per worker. The total amount you can recover depends on the number of workers receiving the training and the length of the program. GASMA calculates the exact savings for you before you make any decision.
GASMA handles the entire process with FUNDAE. You don't need to deal with paperwork or hire any intermediary. You just need to confirm your company's and workers' details, and we take care of the rest.
Each company's annual credit is calculated based on what was paid the previous year for the Vocational Training contingency and the size of its workforce. You can check it through FUNDAE's system, or ask our team to work out an estimate for you.
Self-employed workers with no employees cannot access the FUNDAE subsidy. This benefit is reserved for companies with salaried employees that pay Social Security contributions for Vocational Training.
As soon as you confirm the program and your company's details, GASMA coordinates the planning and the preliminary paperwork needed so the training is properly registered and subsidy-eligible from day one.
Contact GASMA and we'll show you how to make the most of your FUNDAE credit.
